Leyton Orient FC - 2026/27 Preview and Predictions

Reviewing 2025/26

A lot of respected journalists expected big things from Orient in 25/26. Not only did those 'big things' not materialise, they very nearly found themselves back in League Two, ending the season with no win in eight games and only avoided the drop because Exeter failed to beat Bradford on the final day.

The O's have 21 year old Dominic Ballard to thank after he fired an incredible 23 goals. Very possibly the difference maker the desperately needed.

Looking ahead to 2026/27

The expectations will no doubt be high at the club but early predictions are for a tough season.

The arrivals of Isaac Hayden, Armando Dobra and Nathan Baxter amongst others are all positive signs that the club has no intentions of just fighting relegation this year. But if they want to be challenging at the other end, I think they need 3 or 4 more.

Court Offside Tip

I've got a few friends who are Orient fans and they'll be pretty annoyed with me for this prediciton but when you consider the awful form of last season I think they needed more from the transfer window and 3/1 was genuinely fantastic odds for any gambler.
